♥ OUR WEDDING ♥

OUR WEDDING

♥ Chuck and I were married on August 8th of 2008, and we are enjoying every memorable moment! ♥ We were married at Canyon Crest Dining and Event Center, by one of our dearest friends Joe ♥ It was the perfect spot! ♥ There was a thunderstorm before the ceremony, which I was a little concerned about, but the rain cooled everything off. ♥ As the thunderstorm passed, we were pleasantly blessed with “OUR RAINBOWS”. ♥ With the sun peeking through the sky, over the canyon rim, there appeared not one, but TWO rainbows! ♥ Our day was truly perfect! ♥ As the night went on we had a wonderful time celebrating! ♥ Drinking, eating, and enjoying everyone’s company was more than we could have ever asked for. ♥ Thank you for everyone who made it possible! ♥

"ROAD TRIP"

2 years ago for my birthday Chuck and I decided to take a “road trip”. We packed our bags and headed for the coast. (With a couple of stops on the way.) Chuck being the beer connoisseur that he is, wanted to stop at a couple of breweries on the way. First stop, Bend, OR. We left Twin Falls after work on a Friday and drove through the night to Bend. About half way there (in the middle of nowhere!) we came across this creepy little town. We’re talking; I actually locked the doors because I was afraid some “deliverance boogey man” was going to car jack us! We pull into the middle of this town and the “local authorities” (Bubba and Bubba Jr.), had the road blocked off because some retard of a truck driver couldn’t stay on the road. As the officer Bubba approached the driver’s side window (thank goodness, Chuck was driving.), to point out a detour I realized that we had been stopped right in front of this little dinner/motel. The name of this motel, you guessed it “The BATES Motel.” (As if I already wasn’t freaked out enough.) Anyways, the detour panned out and we arrived in Bend around 2:30 that morning.

Headed off to Bend!

The Bates Motel, Vale OR (it was darker when we were there but tell me that wouldn't freak you out!)

So Happy we finally made it to bend!

Chuck very happy at the Deschutes Brewery!

After Bend, we headed up to Portland to see one of my dearest friends Beth. And of course, we had to stop by the Widmer Brewery. I was very happy to be back in my home town. After a couple days, and way too many beers later, Chuck and I headed off to Lincoln City. On the way out of Portland to the Coast, you are surrounded by some amazing vineyards. We ended up stopping at the Yamhill Vineyards to enjoy the view. We decided to pick up a bottle of wine and be one our way. Once we arrived in Lincoln City it was about 5:30 in the evening, so we decided to go out to dinner and then take a walk along the beach. After an amazing dinner we went back to the hotel to get our “beach wear”! A sweatshirt, flip flops, etc. (At this point I knew something was up.) We grabbed the bottle of wine we purchased earlier in the day, a couple of wine glasses that I had packed away, and headed for our walk. Shortly after we stumbled across a large piece of driftwood and started watching the incoming storm on the horizon. That is when Chuck proposed. (See… I knew something was up) We had the best time on this trip and I am very happy to share it with you.
